Being a member of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna has always been exceptional. Belonging, participating, identifying and loving a common cause provided the impetus for founding the association more than 200 years ago. You will find information about our memberships and their benefits on this page.

Traditionally, the Vienna Musikverein offers two options for membership:

Regular Membership
As a member of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde, you can enjoy the following benefits for the 2023/24 season for EUR 75:
- 10% discount on subscriptions (up to 2 subscriptions per cycle)
- advance ticket sales for all society concerts
- monthly delivery of the magazine “Musikfreunde”
- Annual gift, which can be picked up at the box-office
- Copy of the subscription programme for the coming season

Youth Membership
As a youth member of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde, you enjoy the same benefits as regular members. Youth membership may be taken up to the age of 24. We ask that you provide the youth member’s date of birth when registering. The fee for youth members for the 2023/24 season is EUR 10,-
In addition, you can act as a supporter, sponsor or patron and thus provide even greater support to the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna.
This adds to the range of benefits and perks of regular membership. These are particularly generous forms of support, for which we would like to show our appreciation with exclusive offers to you. We would be happy to provide you with more details in a personal meeting, for which the office of the Artistic Director is available.

“Unterstützer”
The “Unterstützer” fee for the 2023/24 season is EUR 500,-. The following points are added to the list of benefits for you as a “Unterstützer” of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde:
- Recognition of the member by name (season brochure, magazine “Musikfreunde”)
- Exclusive preview of exhibitions of the Archive of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna

“Förderer”
The “Förderer” fee for the 2023/24 season is EUR 1,000-. You enjoy these additional benefits as a “Förderer” of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde:
- a special VIP tour for six people, including backstage
- a rehearsal visit for six people
- a meet-the-artist opportunity, either after a rehearsal or after a concert

“Mäzen”
The “Mäzen” fee for the 2023/24 season is EUR 2,500-. Should you decide to support the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna as a “Mäzen”, the benefits extend to the following:
- for one concert, preferential advance sale for six tickets
- exclusive introductory lecture for this concert
- recognition in the evening programme (if desired)
- ticket delivery by courier for this concert
- table reservation for interval incl. champagne and bread-rolls at this concert
- For this concert, you will be accompanied by a staff member (hostess) from the Musikverein entrance – to the cloakroom, introductory lecture, seat, and interval table, …
- VIP organ tour

“Donator”
The “Donator” fee for the 2023/24 season is EUR 5,000-. For “Donatoren” of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde, the benefits are extended to include the following:
- priority ticket sales for the season-opening concert
- Invitation to the reception in the directorate before this concert
- Musikverein VIP tour for up to 10 people
- an exclusive book gift

Apply for Membership
You are welcome to apply for membership directly at the concert box-office. Membership is a seasonal fee and, therefore, valid from September to the end of the following June.
The term is shortened for bookings within the season by the corresponding period. If you are interested in further forms, please do not hesitate to contact us:
