Concerts for the 5th to 8th grade

The Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde offers moderated concerts for school classes in which 10 to 14-year-old pupils are given access to "classical" music. Education, Heraclitus declared 2500 years ago, is not the filling of barrels, but the ignition of flames. For these 'flames' the sparks are to be delivered in the Musikverein.

The young ensemble Sinfonietta Baden plays central works of literature, with different concepts. Experienced music mediators show ways to experience the enrichment through classical music.
The young people from the audience are actively involved in the event, musicians of the orchestra and soloists not only play their instruments, but also comment on them and get interviewed.

Always a highlight: pupils sit on seats directly 'in the orchestra' and watch the happenings from very close proximity. Questions about rhythm are much easier answered by clapping, and different conceptions of tempi can best be recognized by placing oneself on the conductor's desk ...

Tickets for 6, - Euro per pupil - 2 teachers per class free - and info: tickets@musikverein.at.
