Open Door-day #toff20

The Musikverein opens its doors: On Saturday, February 29, 2020 - leap-day! - we invite you to join us and our artists in celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Musikverein! Enjoy a varied programme, learn everything about the house you always wanted to know and be musically active!

Every half hour, starting at 14:00h there will be programme in all 6 concert halls, 2 halls of the archive and other rooms of the house. There will be programme for children, teenagers and adults. In addition there will be workshops, lectures and presentations on interresting details about the history of the building, about gilding, lectures on piano- and violinbuilding and it will also be possible to try out instruments to encouraged your first musical attempts.

Anyone who has the practice and the necessary nerves can take a chance at the "Golden Chance": we make the stage of our Golden Hall available for a performance in which you can show everything you have to offer musically: singing, instrumental play, dance, solo, duo, choir, ensemble etc. etc. Registrations can be put in at #toff20 starting at 13.30h. If there are more registrations than performance opportunities, there will be a lottery. Further information at toff20@musikverein.at

Free admission to the house and all the programmes but only with free tickets. Those tickets can be ordered starting on the 10th of February at our box office, 1010 Vienna, Bösendorferstraße 12, in person, by e-mail: tickets@musikverein.at, or by phone: 01 505 81 90

In the morning of the #toff20, there will be guided tours through the Musikverein building from 10:00h on, every full and half hour. Free admission tickets for the tours also need to be reserved in advance at the box office.
