In 80 Takten um die Welt 

Gemeinsam mit dem beliebten Schauspieler Cornelius Obonya startet das Salonorchester Classic Consort Wien im Wiener Musikverein seine Reise „In 80 Takten um die Welt“. Nach der ersten Station im Gläsernen Saal wird das Ensemble in den folgenden Aufführungen all jene Orte bespielen, die in Jules Vernes Abenteuerroman vorkommen. Im Gepäck hat es eine höchst spannende und unterhaltsame Geschichte mit viel Musik.

In Jules Vernes Roman „In 80 Tagen um die Welt“ verwettete der britische Exzentriker Phileas Fogg 20.000 Pfund für eine rechtzeitige Rückkehr von seiner Reise. Der Classic Consort Wien begibt sich gemeinsam mit Cornelius Obonya in seine Fußstapfen, und überall dort, wo Mr. Fogg und sein Diener Passepartout Station machen, präsentiert das Ensemble die Musik des jeweiligen Landes: von London, Brindisi, Suez, Aden, Mumbai, Kalkutta, Hongkong, Shanghai über Yokohama, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Dublin und zurück nach London. Natürlich machen die Musiker auf ihrer erzählten Reise auch in Wien Halt und spielen in Salonorchester-Besetzung Traditionelles, Arrangements und Originalkompositionen von Jacques Offenbach, Giuseppe Verdi, Martin L. Hofbauer, Reinhard Seifert und Fred Fisher. Mit anderen Worten: Weltmusik trifft Klassik, und Klassik zieht in die Welt hinaus. Seien Sie bei der Premiere dieses Großprojekts dabei.
