Public transportation
The Musikverein building is centrally located and very well connected to the public transport network. Support us in our commitment to environmental protection and sustainability and travel by public transport if possible.
You can reach the Musikverein on the following lines:
Subway
U1, U2 and U4 to station Karlsplatz
Tram
- Line 1, 2, 62 to station Oper, Karlsplatz
- Line 71, D to Schwarzenbergplatz
Bus
- Line 59A, to station ‘Oper, Karlsplatz’
- Line 4A to station ‘Karlsplatz’
Wiener Lokalbahnen
Wiener Lokalbahnen to station ‘Wien Oper’
Please note that tickets for using the public transport network must be purchased from the ticket machines or counters of Wiener Linien. Our admission tickets do not entitle you to use public transport free of charge.
Cab ranks
Cab ranks are located in Canovagasse and on the Kärntner Ring.
Bicycle
Numerous bicycle stands are available at Musikvereinsplatz and Karlsplatz.
Parking facilities
There are various parking facilities in the vicinity of the Musikverein building, but we recommend leaving your car at home and traveling by public transport for a relaxed concert experience.
Parking on public roads
Please note that the entire First District and adjacent districts are short-stay parking zones, subject to the following regulations:
- Monday to Friday 9:00 – 22:00
- max. parking time: 2 hours
Please note
Parts of Bösendorferstraße are residents’ parking spaces that may only be used by cars with a parking permit for the first district and vehicles marked with a disabled pass in accordance with § 29b StVO. In both cases there are no additional costs.
