Subscriptions and focal points of the 2024/25 season
The 2024/25 season program was developed in collaboration with artists from all over the world and numerous cooperation partners. Together, we have formed cycles, festivals and focal points that, to paraphrase Beethoven, come from the heart – and may go to the heart.

Every year, the Musikverein presents key figures from the world of classical music under the name “Artists in Focus”. For the third time in a row, Christian Thielemann is setting standards with his own subscription cycle in the season 2024/25 – both with the Wiener Philharmoniker and with the Staatskapelle Berlin, of which he will be General Music Director from the season 2024/25. Two artists of the younger generation will also be conducting the Wiener Philharmoniker at the Musikverein: Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla and Klaus Mäkelä. Other “Artists in Focus” are violinist Janine Jansen and pianist Víkingur Ólafsson.
